About me
As a kid, I started making movies with friends and never really stopped.
I’m a filmmaker, storyteller, and award-winning writer based in Austin, Texas.
Most people assume I have a film degree (and I suppose at this point I’ve earned one), but I studied Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. In 2005, I founded Pitch Productions, and since then I’ve worked with a wide range of agencies, companies, and brands. Along the way, I’ve created everything from high-profile music videos to grassroots nonprofit documentaries, all with the same attention and care.
Together with Clifford Wildman, I created several web series, including Stump the Chef, Austin Connoisseur, and Project: RANT — projects that attracted a small following and the occasional familiar face.
That work eventually led me to El Rey Network, where I led the Austin editorial team in creating social and broadcast content. I eventually became Co-Creative Executive of the network, helping shape original programming from concept through post — guiding development, production, and editorial for shows like Rebel Without a Crew, Correctamundo, The Chuey Martinez Show, and El Rey’s Top 5.
I produce personal projects through Possible Disaster, the label I started with Clifford Wildman for the ideas that don’t fit anywhere else but keep pulling us back. In 2024, we completed SUBTOPIA: The Story of Hueco Canyon, a feature-length mockumentary that premiered at the Austin Film Festival. It was a good reminder of why I got into this in the first place.
Currently I serve as a creative partner at Skylark Creative, helping shape the look and tone of projects for clients such as The University of Texas at Austin and UT Dell Medical School. And I continue to work with a variety of clients, production companies and agencies through Pitch Productions.
My career has never followed a straight line — and I’ve never wanted it to. Whether it’s building national series or making something weird in the backyard, I care about the same things: enjoying the process, collaborating with good people, and telling stories that grab me (and hopefully you).
If you just want to say hi, drop me a line here.
If you have a project you’d like help with, get in touch through Pitch Productions.
And if you’d like to be a part of my projects, prepare for a Possible Disaster.
